A Memorable Experience At Hotel Fame Berhampore

I always like to explore some of the major places of worship in India whenever I get time. So this time I got an opportunity to visit Berhampore which is a city located in the Indian state of West Bengal. I decided to fly to Berhampore via flight. I searched through a reliable travel portal website and booked my air tickets in an Economy Class via IndiGo Airlines.

The flight had arrived at the Jaipur Airport on time. But a strange high pitched sound occurred just before the flight take off. It lasted about nearly ten minutes and the AC stopped working until the flight took off. The flight crew was courteous and polite.

Since it is a low cost carrier, it only serves meals and snacks such as sandwiches, burgers, tea/coffee, and noodles. Since I had booked the flight with a corporate meal, a chicken sandwich and juice were offered half an hour after takeoff.

I booked online my hotel accommodation in a three star hotel at Berhampore which is known by the name Hotel Fame Berhampore. The main reason behind choosing this hotel is due to the top quality services and it is also an easy access to some of the important shrines in Berhampore.

  • Hotel The Fame is strategically located in the city with all the luxury and comfort which makes you feel at home. It is only just a walking distance away from Berhampore Railway Station and bus stand.

  • The Fame Hotel is an ideal lodging spot for both the business as well as leisure travelers to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life.

  • Next day I decided to explore holy places in Berhampore such as Taratarini Temple, Maa Bhairavi Temple and Jiranga Monastery. The Taratarini Temple is located on the Kumari Hills along the banks of river Rushikulya. It is believed to be one of the oldest pilgrimage centers of the Mother Goddess. I really had a wonderful time at this place.

  • Maa Bhairavi Temple was the second place which was included in my itinerary. It is located close to the city of Berhampore in a remote village of Mantridi. One of the main features of this shrine is that you will find the deity is carved in a crude fashion with one leg and four arms.
